Bill Holmes began training horses in 1972. He became interested in
training mules in the year of 1990 because of their willingness to
learn, intelligence, and athleticism. Out of this interest came the
formation of Maple Valley Mule Company, which is dedicated to
training and raising top quality saddle mules and horses.
The use of natural horsemanship methods is the foundation of his
training program. He believes in working from the ground up to
establish a strong foundation. All of our colts are started in the round
pen to develop a bond of trust and respect. We work with our clients
to customize a training program to fit the individual needs of the
animal and owner.
